Google says Elkarte is "mobile friendly"

Didn't even realize this was a thing. It adds a tag "mobile friendly" on the search engines. SMF is not mobile friendly.

SMF 2.1 is still in development. Still has many bugs to use it live. And when it is published once, standing in the stars. ElkArte there already and has barely Bugs.

The mobile template was one of the main reasons that made me switch from smf to elkarte ;) In analytics 40% of my visits are from mobile/tablets.

For smf I used the paid template from smfmedia, a good mobile template, but for a non-coder like me was impossible to make it compatible with all mods installed.

I remember @radu81 sincerely defending SMF against an SMF fan turned ElkArte fan in 2012-13. @radu81 had too much faith in SMF team to wait for 2.1 stable. Year is 2015 end and SMF has still traveled only from alpha to beta since then. Their stable script is a 2009 release with some minor bug fix updates.

Initially interested me SMF. Then I discovered ElkArte. Not only that mobile design was. It was also the German translation, which is far better as the SMF. Even the lighter creating themes and addons. ElkArte convinced me, it is the better!

probably, I don't remember, at that time I was following the developing of wedge, mainly for the gallery integration.
Smf was one of my favourite forum script, but let's not turn this topic into elkarte vs SMF  :D

I mentioned SMF to highlight how much work the Elkarte developers have done.
