Assigning usergroup permissions to boards

I've been driving myself mad over the past two days trying to limit access to different boards by usergroup.  For example

board 1 - membergroup1, membergroup 3, membergroup 4
board 2 - membergroup 1
board 3 - membergroup 3, membergroup 4

In addition, I only want people who are not logged in to see only one board.

Where/how can this be accomplished?  Nothing I've tried, including group permissions, board permissions works.

Thanks for any help with this.

Last one : Enable the option to deny board access based on membergroup [ checkbox]
