Procedure for creating a Wiki doc

Hey guys,

So I was requested to make a tutorial on how to make a wiki doc and add it to Elkarte's repo, so that it can help others.

Please Note: This procedure might change once I find a better way of adding wiki docs, if there are any better ways.

Creating A Wiki Doc can be done using the following steps:

  • Fork the Elkarte repo (Tutorials can be found online)
  • Once forked, go to your forked repo and find "Wiki"
  • Next, click on "New Page" and write your doc
  • Once you have completed your doc, head over to the ElkArte Wiki
  • Click on "New Page" and copy and paste everything from your forked repo's doc to Elkarte's Wiki

There you have it! You have created a wiki doc!

The reason I don't suggest creating a doc in Elkarte's Wiki first, is so that, on your own wiki, you can write your own things and edit it, without the hassle of others editing your work. Also, it is also better because, having an uncompleted wiki on the official Elkarte Wiki page would be unprofessional.

Just so you guys know, everything said above is all by me. I have not talked to the staff about making this topic! @emanuele @Spuds , what do you guys think about this topic? Good or bad? :p
