Requirements for 1.0.*- PHP version 5.2 or newer
- MySQL 5 and newer OR PostgreSQL 8.3 and newer
ElkArte 1.0.x will be the last version to support PHP 5.2. PHP 5.3 or higher will be required in the future.
On the client side, ElkArte will run & look good in just about any modern browser. Using IE?, well we support that too! You'll want IE8 or greater but some visual enhancements will not be present withIE versions < IE9

It offers some interesting features which Dropbox bridge for database/app automatic backup and of course simplified installation/maintenace for users.

Basically like that junk of Softaculous, but perhaps improved. It worths giving it a try.
Why is it like junk? I find it useful for managing... but obviously not essential for me, just useful for backup... unless you create an automatic backup plugin for Dropbox or similar :-P
