Title: Who's Online question.
Post by: summer on November 02, 2015, 03:00:28 am
Problem Description:
Website maintenance state.
With administrative account login, click on each page site, to see who is online, show a lot of tourists to view the page I clicked. However, IP addresses are not equal.

Normal, nothing to "worry" about.
The "who is on-line" detects the pages based on the url, so if a user requests a certain page, the system shows that fact, not that he got what he wanted or not. Just that he tried (except for pages like admin that require another type of processing).

Should we change the language files to "tried to read the thread xyz"?  ;)

Is there a way to change this behavior?

There is always a way.
Is it worth? Honestly I can't answer because I never really looked into that part of the code (yet).

I think the function should show what the user is doing and not what he wants to do (but maybe can't).

Is there a reason why this topic is in Bug Reports at all?

Well, Jorin point is not so weak: the user even though is trying to open a certain page it is not allowed, so it is presented with the login page, and list in the "who is online" page that he is editing some settings when instead he is just staring at a "please enter your login info" could very well be considered a bug.
