I just found this awesome application called
Robo (http://robo.li/). It allows you to write "tasks" in PHP and then execute them. So we could create a build script, in PHP, that does everything necessary. I might even write it for you if you tell me the steps you need to do to create a new release.

Interesting.
The steps are basically the ones written down on the wiki at https://github.com/elkarte/Elkarte/wiki/Preparing-a-release
I'm not sure there is more.
