Title: Custom fields and privacy
Post by: radu81 on August 22, 2015, 05:07:35 pm
I have some custom fields that for privacy I don't want to show to guests, but only for registered members. I see there is no way to hide them for guests. What about adding an option like "Guests cannot see this field, only owner and admins can edit it" ?

You can also test it here on elkarte, open this link in incognito mode

and you will see all social links of @Jorin ;)

I would also like to add a custom field under signature, but being a link for only registered users I cannot hide it, and it has not much sense to show it to guests

Why me?  :o

A good idea. I too would like to be able to set some fields to "visible for members only".

I feel this is a duplicate of either:

or:
http://www.elkarte.net/community/index.php?topic=1622.0
Provided they are not duplicate of each other. LOL

just casual ;)

the guests don't have the permission to view user profiles, but they can see those fields by "mouseover" a nickname in topic view
