I'll tell you only that: I was asked about scoop.it in 2014. And to this moment it has never popped in the "first page" of my priorities. xD
Actually, I still have to understand what it does.

And, not to be picky or annoying, but yet another time: please when you ask something new open your topic and do not spoil other topics on completely different subjects.
If you want to open a forum, you should start following other forums rules/requests, at least for respect of the wishes of other admins.
Bugs creator.
Features destroyer.
Template killer.

Hm, I just peeked at the website and I don't quite understand either. It looks like it might be some kind of blend between Tumblr (which I don't fully understand in the first place) and the likes of Digg. Or maybe it's about analytics? No clue really. :P

I am after bridge to good blog platform, except storify I dont have other experience ... maybe this info would help as comparison ...

its matter of having central blog platform that will suite all the forum members, and its pity Storify went commercial, but as I can see Scoop.it is his closest alternative ...
