It;s just unformatted markdown.
That is what the system currently does. Since it does not send HTML it converts it to markdown wrapped at 78 (I think) so its plain text valid for email. In 2.0 we can add the HTML output as well if folks want that.
Not for me, thanks. I send all my mails as plain text only.
