Title: Beta Upgrade Theme Bug?
Post by: scripple on October 15, 2016, 08:02:13 pm
Not sure exactly where to put this.  Testing upgrading form 1.0.9 to 1.1  Beta 3 I copied my test forum and removed all add ons / mods.  Then installed.  Seemed to go ok except the theme was a mess.  No avatar in the user button.  No up chevron, no icons in the board icon legend near the bottom.

So I had changed the name of "Elkarte Default Theme" to something else long ago in the database.  Everything still pointed to the same directory (themes/default) and in 1.0.9 all seemed happy.  In 1.1b3 what I described above happened.  So I went into the database and changed the "name" variable in the prefix_themes table back to "Elkarte Default Theme" and the theme seemed happy.

So I changed the name back and things were still happy.  Any idea to what's going on here?

What I've noticed in my tests is that, for some reason, it requires a hard-refresh more than usually necessary to "forget" about the old theme.
I'm not sure why...

Noticed the same. It must be some cache issues somewhere.
