How to import an old database

I have an old database with me (backup taken when i was using 1.6 ElkArte), now how can i import into 1.7 without issues

So, you want: install Elk 1.0.7 (let's not forget the ".0" because they have a meaning

), drop the database, take a backup from 1.0.6 and import it in the newly installed 1.0.7?
As far as I remember, between the two micro there was no changes to the database, so it should be fine.

Though, since you are anyway installing it, why not: install 1.0.6, replace the database, update to 1.0.7?
