OK, the old man is needing some help already.
Got the install done. Barely. Been a long time installing instead of just upgrading.
I called myself going through the doc files but couldn't find any tips on two things I like to do on a new install; is there a quick way to take the forum online/offline and is there a way to make the forum for registered members only (I did see a permissions tab)?
Sorry about asking ignorant questions but I just couldn't find the answers in the docs.

For the first one, look in server settings for "maintenance mode". It'll leave the forum online but prevent anyone accessing it. Is that good enough?
The Features & Options > General settings have an option to "Allow guests to browse the forum". If you deselect that, all that guests will see is the forum header and the login form.
