Title: Times don't match
Post by: Ant59 on December 11, 2014, 06:07:05 am
I've tried and tried to debug this, but cannot find a source of the problem.

The times on the board index for new posts are dead-on accurate. The times on the message index and posts themselves are all an hour behind. I cannot work out why though.

My server is in France, and my userbase is in the UK, so I have an overall time offset of -1.

Correct on board index

hmm...

Are you using any kind of cache?
What is the offset time in your profile?

Darn!
I lost track of that one! Sorry!!! :'(

Would you mind trying an experiment?
Set the time to relative and the check the title attribute moving the mouse over the "time ago" text?

The only thing I can think of is that somewhere the time is sent through standardTime twice and the offset is applied twice...
I'll toggle to the "normal" time here to see if there is a mismatch on that board as well.

ETA: another question: the server timezone (in Elk settings) is then set to France, right?
