Title: register link with subdomain
Post by: Jorin on January 26, 2018, 01:58:23 am
A member told me that the link in his activation e-mail was not correct. I use a subdomain for the board and it seems the board thinks after the first point in the subdomain the TLD follows and then the link stops. It looks like this:

(Link-5469)

The email should now know anything about subdomains or bbc parsing.
IIRC It's just plain text.

I tried to register and my email client shows the URLs properly (see attachment).

What email client was the user using?
And what email provider was using?
There are some that mess with links in emails (MS replaces all the URL with their own tracking code for example).

Oh, sorry. It seems it was a "one hit wonder".  ;)  No need to investigate further imo.  :-[

Okay, if it appears again it would be useful to know also email provider and client/webmail. ;)
