Title: Youtube embedder doesn't work on Chrome
Post by: Flavio93Zena on September 02, 2015, 11:03:37 am
'nuff said, it just doesn't, when I click a video it just disappears. Works on IE... SIGH that's a huge fail.

It relies on Flash still. We need to change the embed code to use HTML5.

That's why. Since Flash has been claimed to be extremely unsafe Chrome rightfully blocks it, so that's why it doesn't work.

Awesome :D Thanks ant59!

@Flavio93Zena replace your elk_jquery_embed.js file with that updated one .. https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Ant59/Elkarte/2202/themes/default/scripts/elk_jquery_embed.js and let us know if that fixes the issue for you, it should (as well as other issues).

Please don't bump a thread that is related to Chrome only, and 6 months old, moreover in exterminated bugs section...? >.<

Neither do I, but at least I keep it up to date for relevant testing, instead of outdated one. :P
