Title: Difference between Elkarte Light and BeSocial default theme ?

Hi,
are there just 2 different themes in Elkarte "Default" theme ?

I like more the Be Social theme with its hovering menu list at the top,
so I will probably use this.
How could there be created color variation for it easily ?

Just edit the index.css file ?
What then about updates overwriting it again ?

Do not edit the index.css,create a new file and name it custom_besocial.css and add there your modifications. There are some examples in themes.elkarte.net

IIRC @ahrasis has an addon to create variants from the admin panel, that would allow you to create your own variant and change its colors the way you want. ;)

they are both for elkarte 1.0.x, so probably they need some edits to work with 1.1.x version
