Today, we are pleased to release ElkArte 1.0.7. This release fixes some bugs and issues that were found or reported since the release of 1.0.6. As this is a maintenance release, the majority of the updates are focused on bug fixes and increased stability. This is a recommended update for everyone running the 1.0.6 version.
Some notable updates in 1.0.7 include:
- updated the package server fixing detection for installed and downloaded packages,
- added BBC tables formatting,
- fixed likes when splitting topics,
- fixed a database error in member list sorting of custom fields,
- two new hooks
- few other fixes
This release follows our semantic version (MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH), meaning that third-point (x.x.X) releases should contain backwards-compatible bug fixes and enhancements, so for the most part you will not find new features in this release. Major new features will be reserved for second point versions (x.X.x).
Refer to the
release notes (http://www.ElkArte.net/community/index.php?topic=3437.0) on the forum for a complete list of updates.
Patching procedure:
For any question you may have, feel free to ask on the support forum (http://www.ElkArte.net/community/index.php).
Of course you are encouraged to update to this release since it contains a lot of fixes and improvements, thank you for your continued support!
Congratulations and thank you for another update :)
The download link on the front page still points to 1.0.6. ;)
I'll blame Spuds just because he is not around. :P
Will fix it... soonish. O:-)
Congrats guys! Good to see this project still chugging along.
Congrats guys! :D
One question: Should I uninstall 1.0.6 patch after installing this?
Just ask yourself: when you install a patch in Windows, do you uninstall the previous one? :P
No, you should never uninstall previous patches.
Haha :D
I got confused because it written as Uninstall Emulating 1.0.6 and didn't know what it meant to be. Why is it emulated?
Thanks!
IchBin Lives :D :D :D and so does 1.0.7 !
Updated the front page link and the news line ... any errors in so doing are emanuele's fault :P
Congrats Team. :)
Darn, he was around after all... O:-)
Thanks Spuds! :D
Installed in Localhost, will test it, and try out all the features and will post the update here.
Updated successfully. Thank you!
Two? I counted 3 integrate_invalid_old_url integrate_board_tree integrate_board_tree_query
meh... I counted the commits. xD
A little late, but I finally updated to 1.0.7. Thanks for this release ;)
And finally sc is running EA 1.0.7. Fortunately, there weren't many theme conflicts, so I did only few manual changes.
Awesome ... You know I don't think that's even been done here O:-)
Hello,
I wanted to upgrade to 1.0.8. and following the instructions I need to first upgrade to 1.0.7.
My question is, can I just upload the changed files:
~> BOARDDIR/SSI.php
~> BOARDDIR/index.php
~> SOURCEDIR/Load.php
~> SOURCEDIR/Security.php
~> SOURCEDIR/Subs.php

~> SUBSDIR/EmailFormat.class.php
~> SUBSDIR/Graphics.subs.php
~> SUBSDIR/Html2BBC.class.php

instead of applying the patch via the Admin Control Panel?
What could be a drawback of doing so, if any?
Kind regards,
Esteffano
Yes, you can.
None as far as i can remember, unless you modified any of these files. In that case you'd lost the changes.
OK,
thank you
@emanuele !
Hello,
this time I have updated to 1.0.9 using a full new package and rewriting the files.
However, after the files have been overwritten on the server, the "powered by ElkArte 1.0.7" stays as it was.
Any suggestion?
KR,
Esteffano
Are you sure you replaced index.php as well?
:-*
I was pretty sure I did, but you're right... I missed it somehow. Thank you.
Kind regards,
Christian
You may want to check all the other files in the root, you may have missed others. ;)
OK, I will check it.
In the attached image you can see that some versions are not up to date, it seems.
Would it have to do with the files in the root? Or where is the system retrieving the data for the "Your Version" column from?
Kind regards,
Esteffano
You should be able to expand the directories to see the detail of each file. ;)
After this I feel so stupid, I checked and this option was also into SMF, but never noticed that. Last time on smf I did a large update because I didn't know which file was outdated :( In elkarte I had 3 outdated files and I was able to correct them quicly.
Don't know if I am the only one who did not noticed that, but an icon "+" or an "expand" button could be useful (not for me anymore :) )
