@emanuele :) But it can be useful to try to break it even further, I bet it's not only the parenthesis, but maybe some other crap like /&%$£ and stuff like this, or utf8 characters (read: chinese, japanese characters and so on).
I think the possibility of fixing this is pretty limited. Either that or the way mentions are added need to be changed. They would need to be tracked by the start/end of the text. If you change that text, it would break the mention. For the WYSIWYG editor, this would be easier because you'd just have a tag [mention] on the code side that gets translated to @username in the editor.
Sorry Spuds, I posted by mistake... :-[

The issue is not special user names, but rather the fact that the AtWho plugin changed a callback name and the name of a property, the quick-reply code was not changed and so the QR was not able to properly pick the mentioned names.
Now it's fixed here (hopefully) and I'll push the commit later at github.
Hey, you pulled me away from my beer ! :P
Hope it didn't warm up! :P
Until I see a commit link I'll keep bugging you ;)
/me asks for commit link and if provided, asks for the topic to be moved to Exterminated because he's an order-freak and doesn't want the board to end up like the one... Elsewhere. u_u
Are the mentions working at all at the moment?
Thanks, meetdilip...they are working now. ;)
