Title: "An Error Has Occurred"
Post by: MartinTS on October 21, 2021, 11:01:07 pm
Hi All,
It's my first time installing Elkarte and I love it so far, but I'm getting an error that seems to pop up randomly "Call to undefined function shell_exec()".
I seem to be able to clear it by clicking on the Home link. But I need to fix this before I roll it out to my community.
Has anyone seen this before?
Cheers,
Martin

Hi and welcome to Elkarte, I suggest yo to post all the details about the error you have (Admin CP ->Log error)

I think this will be fixed by turning off hostname lookup but I forget where the option is in the admin panel.

I found this option and disabled hostname lookup -  let's see what happens!
It is in Server Settings\General
