Did I hear bbc tags? That reminds me of Decoda integration.

Slightly odd topic but how library like are the BBCode parsers? Could they be dragged out and used simply
Or do they use SMF style functions?

There are quite a few specific SMF implementations of tags that need to be addressed, so once you get past the basic formatting tags things get a bit more complicated (quote, list, table and code come to mind), and then we have a couple of turd tags like glow and move, and probably a dozen or so other very low use tags that are supported.

It's not that we'd have to support *everything*...

/me hates glow, shadow, and a dozen of other BBCs. O:)

/me wants an angel smiley!! O:)

I love the marquee tag but could happily lose the others (and we could do marquee with css3 these days anyway).

/me is going to make a css3 marquee tag.
/me is also going to make css3 bouncing parrots! :D

/me hopes Antechinus will make the bouncing parrots BBCode configurable (i.e. speed, bouncing rate, width, height, etc.) so that he can put a bunch in his signature bouncing all over the places! :D

ETA:
/me should stop using the /me bbcode because he is starting using it in RL too! :o

Totally off topic:
By the way, can we pretty please find another color for /me? It's damn annoying to use many of them when they're all red... Emotes are not supposed to be 'warning!warning!aleeert!' to the eye.

Please don't ask me which. Y'know. Something that doesn't strike...

Bouncing me tagz FTW!!!!

Ok, we can make them do anything. Something like this perhaps?

Code: [Select]
*<em>me stuff here</em>*

So would looky like dis:

/me says lotsa stuffz!*

Except not red and without the extra line breaks. :P

That's much easier on the eyes, and picking up the theme's css for text colour makes a lot more sense.
