...is about time to draw the line and call the current code "stable"? O:-)
If you feel like it 8)
Its not like we are not planning a 1.01 and a 1.1 O:-)
The idea was no known security or "big" errors (data loss, feature not working at all, etc) ... I feel we have been in refinement mode on 1.0 for a bit now, which is good :D
I don't see any major bugs. I feel like I've been seeing a lot of theme issues being posted lately, but those don't necessarily stop the release. Better to release now and get some attention.
[nike]Just do it![/nike]
I think what groundup wants to say is that usually when a "stable" version is released, more people are likely to use it compared to a development one. And more people using it, means more possibilities to find bugs and so on. ;)
Ah, okay. Yes, good point!
Stable version would definitely get more users to actually use elkarte.
Okay, I set the milestone deadline to Sunday:
https://github.com/elkarte/Elkarte/milestones
Now there is the usual round of stuff to do according to:
https://github.com/elkarte/Elkarte/wiki/Preparing-a-release
I'll open the tracking issue today or tomorrow (unless someone else is faster :P).
Here it is the meta issue:
https://github.com/elkarte/Elkarte/issues/1793
Now it's time for drafting the release announcements, notes and known bugs.
It's not stable until you stopped "adding features", emanuele. :D
Lols.
Agreed. It is timely now.
Isn't the traditional RC3 the place for last-ditch major features/new themes/blocking bugs?
I break so much stuff that I broke the tradition... :P
Don't hand emanuele your traditions.
/me hands
@Spuds the traditions.
/me takes the traditions and looks to break 1.01 ;D
/me can't log in via OpenID again...
/me didn't mess with OpenID. O:-)
Nor have I
So it just disappeared? Sweet.
Oh darn!
I deleted the log while uploading the new files...there was an error similar to the one present a while ago, plus another one that I don't remember any more... :'(
Debugging at its finest! :P
looks and feels pretty stable to me.
OpenID log-in here works again as you can see. Really wondering.
