Hi All,

Is there a site or a step-by-step guide where I can follow to create a custom theme for Elkarte?

If you know HTML and CSS, as well as basic PHP to make sure that you don't get syntax errors, then you should be fine.

@CrimeS  yes I do know them. I just want to know where to start.

Start with index.template.php

From that file you should be able to localise anything else.

Just copy the default theme and create yours from the copy. It shouldn't be that hard.

A guide would be quite useful indeed.
Though, at the moment there are a couple of things that make me think it would be wise to wait a little longer:
1) the theme is still being modified in its structure, so give instructions on how to tweak the theme may not work from release to release,
2) the usual time issue (i.e. we need a Tardis).

If you have some time, you may start asking questions and then put the answers together to form some tutorial. It doesn't need to be perfect, but it would still reflect the difficulties you (someone not familiar with Elk theming) encountered while changing the styles. That would probably more helpful than a tutorial any one of us could write.
