Title: Site update
Post by: emanuele on July 18, 2016, 03:06:43 pm
Tomorrow (let's say in about 24 hours from now) I'll do a site update that may break your sessions.
In theory it shouldn't, so you should just see the new version in the footer, but it may happen that you will be logged out. If this occurs...no worries: just log in again and everything will be fine.

It's basically the testing of a security fix for both 1.0.x and 1.1 that will be released in the next few days in the 1.0.8 version and the 1.1 beta 2.
Yes, I'm hurrying up B2 without many fixes to have the two with the security fixes released almost together, my idea is to release 1.0.8 Friday and B2 not later than Monday.

So, if you face any problem after the update of the site, remember to report it here on the forum, or if in the worst case you are not able to log in, to my email emanuele45 at gmail.com

There seems to be a problem in replying.

The problem should be fixed.
Protip: if you are working in a file with a defined namespace, if you want to call a class on a different namespace, you have to use the fully-qualified name of that class... especially if it is in the global scope. xD

There is still a problem with sessions not being saved/restored properly, I'll fix it ASAP, but not now... sorry.

It says, there are no members online, but they are.

Seems there are no problems related to the changes I made to fix the security issue, so... I'll roll the release this evening if some stuff I'm waiting doesn't arrive before, otherwise tomorrow or the day after!

Just a little thing, maybe it has nothing to do with this, but as a guest you cannot read the recent posts: http://www.elkarte.net/community/index.php?action=recent

Nope, this is a bug in 1.1, but unrelated to the update.
Good catch anyway, I don't use that much the page... :D

I'm on 5.6.  I will be on a trip out of town for several days.  Be happy to offer testing once home.  What do you need?

In no more than 24 hours version 1.0.8 will be released. Please do note it's a security release, so you are all invited to update your forum ASAP.
In case of problems do not hesitate to report them.
