Cant delete members post as admin

Hi,

I had a member join my forum and made this post
https://forum.melangecounselling.com/index.php?topic=15.0

As you can see Id like to remove the post. However despite trying to delete each post by them as admin. I get error message;
" An error has occurred" If you want to remove this topic click  on remove link OR as admin to do it for you.
I banned IP and user but cant seem to delete their posts?

Thanks

Have you tried to un-ban the user and delete his posts first, before you ban him again?

I think I have a bug in mind...

Can you delete only the second or third post?

You can't delete the first post of a topic, instead you can delete the whole topic since it's spam.
it's not a bug, it's how elkarte/smf works.

p.s. if you need to delete only the first post of a topic you need to split the topic from the second post and then delete the original topic which will contain only the first post.
sorry for my bad english

This is a tangential thought. If you delete a member, you have the option to automatically delete their topics and/or posts. There's really no reason to retain spammer accounts.   ;)

@mbtcompendium the error messages gives you the hint: you cannot delete the first message of a topic, you have to remove the entire topic.
The "remove" is at the bottom left of the the discussion, next to "move". ;)

Alternately .. you can split the topic ..
Here you can move all (exclude the first) Messages to a other (new) Topic.
There after you can remove the original Topic with the first Message ...
