I noticed that any new paragraphs in a post will be ignored if they are after a footnote (in this forum). Adding empty space(s) after footnote won't help but a character like a dot will fix it (as a temporary measure).

I remember fixing something ... I think it was a smiley after a footnote was not rendering? This sounds like yet another footnote problem :(
I think we addressed this in one in 1.0.10 and 1.1 RC1.
