Title: Social!
Post by: emanuele on December 06, 2013, 05:32:01 am
While I wasn't able to code almost anything, I played a bit around with some social stuff (/me doesn't know much about that kind of things, so... meh).

The twitter account was easy to create:
https://twitter.com/elkarteforum

The G+ page... I'm still trying to understand how to find it... :o LOL
If you have any hint or want a manager/publisher position let me know your account. ;)

Anyone has an idea for a nice background for both https://twitter.com/ElkArteForum and the G+ page?

/me is terrible with graphics...

Do we need one? Would using our colors be a better option instead?

I suppose it would work too. :D

I did something on twitter using (part of) the gradient we have as a background:
https://twitter.com/ElkArteForum
it may work with a complete dark background too.

Cool!

Give me a moment to remember how the thing works. ;)

Sure. :)

We need to talk about what should be happening there. I think we should inform followers about new versions and updates, about bugs and bugfixes, and should publish links to interesting threads.

Yup.
Makes sense.

On twitter I tweet some IT-related things and seldom some random things as well (for example yesterday I couldn't help retweeting the "touchdown" on the comet... O:-)).

That happens just when I remember there is a twitter account, that is about once or twice a month. :P

Does ElkArte has a CI (Corporate Identity) or CD (Corporate Design)? lol I think I know the answer. ;)

Seriously: Is the logo a the top the official one and will be kept a long time? Is the green of the forum the official color? Or is this all unimportant? I am asking because of the G+ site. I want to add the logo, some graphics and some color to it.

I think at the moment there isn't any kind of clear "identity", the logo at the top is the one we had at the beginning and is the one we have used.

What do we need to define an identify?
