Just in case I'm not the only one, when I look at the antler in 5r if I didn't know it was supposed to be an elk antler I would have thought it was a cartoon outline of a weasel or something like that.  The top two points are the ears.  Next is the snout.  Then two legs and the trunk of the antler is the tail.  Maybe I just spent too much time looking for shapes in clouds as a kid though.

What do you think about these?

If you want to use it you surely can, just tell me what you need (png or gif, transparent or not, sizes, with or without slogan, black & white or colored, etc).

Just a thought.  Maybe we could explore the Art part of the word vs the Elk part?  What do you more artistic folks think of exploring that?

But someone has to make a decision otherwise there never will be the ElkArte logo and we will keep the momentary forever. ;)

We can, by the way, if anyone likes it. I don't want to force a new logo.

I'd say that since this come up often enough that a change may be in order. 

I think with your latest "antler" designs we have pretty much explored what can be done there ( between this thread and this one http://www.elkarte.net/community/index.php?topic=995.msg10510#msg10510 ) Maybe give the Art vector a try and see what ideas come out of that.  Or any other ideas folks may have. 

At that point we can choose between current, best new elk, best new art and be happy  :D

Here is a simple one I made as well




It has a black outline around the words, which you can't really see cuz this is white LOL

I think its time to bug @emanuele who has been selectively skipping this thread :P to get his thoughts on any direction. 

Choosing logos and names is difficult since no one is wrong, people like what they like.

I suppose a few of us could go off and simply choose and just say this is it .... frankly that is what may be required here.  I don't know if the community at large can make this decision, but simply help with choices (which they certainly have).

Last time I had to pick a logo I just created a random rotator and put all of them together. LOL
