Support / Strange checkmark appearing above quoted text in replies ?
Last post by Denis M. -
Greetings Elkartians! I seem to be running into some kind of issue! Namely my forums are currently in the process of soon to be opened and while testing everything and going through all the options I am encountering a bug related to the quote system

As you can see in the picture provided there seems to be some kind of checkmark appearing above and going through quotes, what could this be and how would I be able to fix this issue ? My thoughts were to just delete and disable the whole quote system, but I guess I would give it a try and asking here first :)

Any help would be much appreciated since a quote system is a huge part of a working forum community  !

Thanks in advance !  :rotating_light:

Thanks ... Everyone (non electronic:electric_plug:) is fine :D

But I do have another item I forgot to list ... it took out the HVAC system (various control panels). Fortunately the repair company was feeling kind and did not report this as a act of God and instead gave me a under warranty repair.  Those control boards are 1K each to the home owner (bit of a markup ya know), so that was solid of them.

:cloud_lightning:Casualties:
- UniFi 24 port switch
- UniFi 8 port 150W PoE switch
- UniFi in-wall access point
- Low voltage landscape lights (fused the bulbs)
- OTA Antenna booster
- Generator control panel (power grid here is crap)
- RPI model 4
- StarLink router
- Harmony hub
- USB power strip
- Rachio controller
- LG C2 OLED

Such fun!

Thanks for that sunshine:sun_with_face:LOL

My bad..  Guess I should have asked if you preferred knowing what was coming, or not knowing what was coming..

As long as you didn't hear a deep Ron Hubbard-type voice  echoing down from the heavens afterwards saying "Dammit, I missed", at least you can be relieved that it's not going to be even worse..

Seeing the SecCam date, I'm pretty sure you'd know by now if there was a hole in the roof, the racket from all the critters that subsequently moved into the attic would be your biggest clue.

It was a solid house shaking boom, as in I need to check if there is a hole in the roof !

Couple of security camera pic's just as the lighting flashed... somewhere right behind the house.

Lightning loves all those distributed paths to ground..  It took the dare, and laughed in your general direction..

...so many choices..

...to make...

... all at once..

(Why chose, when you can blow everything at the same moment?)

"Arkle sparkle little twink
all flash fried in just a blink.."

And the stuff that didn't blow up in the strike will likely start failing soon enough...

But other than that, how did you like the >>BOOM<<?

Site Feedback / Re: EARLY Beta version of 2.0
Last post by Spuds -
And another round of updates has been applied

In this update you will find

- New quick topic feature
- New mark notifications as seen when you navigate to a topic that has new notifications (mentions, likes, quote, etc.).  This is similar in behavior to marking as read when you view a topic.  The idea is so you don't have to go to your notification tab and manually mark things as read/seen.
- Close a large number of old (very old) bug (really annoyance / inconsistency) issues that have been around for a long time
- New header layout for topic listing and topic view.  Its really all the same information but its no longer crammed into a single line.  You can see what I mean by going to the top of this page and look at the area just below the page links.
- Lots of other little bugs fixed here and there
- Added an Other Options button to Quick Reply and Quick Topic.  This will simply move you to the full post page which is where you can add attachments and several other things.  Often folks would be in the Quick Reply and not be able to figure out how to add attachments.  This new button just gives them a clue !
