ElkArte 1.1 Release Candidate 2 - Release announcement August 27, 2017, 03:31:21 pm The ElkArte Community is pleased to announce the second ElkArte 1.1 Release Candidate is now available. The release candidate is usually the last development step before release a stable version, made available to allow a final round of testing on what will be the first major version of ElkArte, though it's still considered a development version and as such is not recommended for production use.In order to help us release ElkArte, anyone using the new version, is encouraged to report bugs, issues or errors at our GitHub Issue Tracker. If you don't want to register at github to report bugs through the formal bug reporting system, you can create a new topic at ElkArte.net and let us know about the problem you encountered or the improvement you would like to see in ElkArte. We look forward to receiving your feedback on this release candidate of ElkArte! Some instructionUpgrading from 1.0: in this case, overwrite all the files with those in the package of the release, run install/upgrade.php and enjoy the new version.Updating from previous 1.1 versions: unzip the package, overwrite all the files of your testing forum with the new ones, delete the install directory, and enjoy the new version.

Re: ElkArte 1.1 Release Candidate 2 - Release announcement Reply #10 – August 30, 2017, 11:54:01 pm I am testing the upgrade from 1.0.10 to 1.1RC2 but installation seems stuck at database upgrade level. Also, upgrade page background is just plain white (for header and footer as well)? My bad. I forgot to fix the path before proceedings. It seems working now.

I'm not familiar with how it works. At the moment, anyway, it's not yet "stable", so I don't think softaculous has it in their list of install.
