Title: Problem uploading avatars
Post by: TigerAnt on June 21, 2017, 09:43:36 am
I tried yo upload an avatar in 1.1 and got this error twice in a row:

Precondition Failed

The precondition on the request for the URL /index.php evaluated to false.

Additionally, a 412 Precondition Failed error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Admin mode/forum/smileys and message icon/add smiley/ Upload new smiley

Suggestion: when you encounter a problem or find a bug, it's better to open a new topic, not reply to an existing one, otherwise things get messed. ;)
Can you try here on this forum?

Kind of sounds like an Apache error ...  To help debug be sure to turn off Bad Behavior if you have it enabled in the Spam area of the admin control panel.  Other than that it really sounds like your server is blocking access :/

Seems like:
http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E412.html
so, yes, something to do with the server probably.

Here:

it seems mod_security was the issue.
