I've seen a peak of bug reports, I think it may be a good thing to prepare a release by the end of the month to fix all the bugs that were skipped in 1.1.3 because of the urgency to release and that came around in the last few days.
I'll try to prepare the logging of the acceptance of the agreement as first step for the GDPR.
I already have the general idea of the requirements, I'm a little stuck on a problem, but it's a secondary point, I have a solution that I don't entirely like, but don't dislike either. The implementation should not be very difficult, so let's see.
I think given the number of bugs found in 1.1.3 I feel we should do another release as well, 6/1 sounds good to me, it is after all National Nail Polish Day :P
This is great news for EU people ;)
As for bugs in 1.1.3 I need to hurry up, I have some things to report.
You still have time
@radu81.
I didn't know about that one! xD
ElkArte 1.1.4 codename Polished Nail. ROFL!
Only 4 days to go until the GDPR must be installed...
Will you soon release the 1.1.4 version with it ?
we also need to implement this all and test it out, so the sooner you can release this the better it would be...
Many thanks in advance.
Regards, Stefan.

We are ready for Take Off ;)
This evening I'll update this forum.
On a second though, it's better if I updated it tomorrow so that it's easier to monitor over the weekend rather than tomorrow that is a working day. :-\
Sorry for the noise. :D
Many thanks
@emanuele for having the 1.1.4 version installed now over here.
Will you also release it now to the public in the download area, so we can test it out ?
Many thanks.
Regards, Stefan.
If you want to test it, you can pick it from:
https://github.com/elkarte/Elkarte/tree/patch_1-1-4
the button "clone or download" and then download zip.
The patch is not yet ready because a couple of bugs needs fixing (one I was looking into it right now).
BTW, I wanted to test the "accept agreement" feature here, probably tomorrow early afternoon I'll set so that it becomes mandatory to accept the agreement.
If anything, for any reason, will not work out and you remain locked out, please either use github to report it or drop me an email at emanuele45 at gmail.com
Looks like the agreement works fine at least here.
User agreement to the cookies works. Thanks.
But did you also implement other parts for the GDPR like
if a member wants to get his data or wants to have his account deleted.. ??
Hmm, when I deleted all my elkarte Cookies and logged out,
it does not again ask for the agreement to the cookies...when logging in again...
Seems so, but what happens if user click "I don't agree" ?
@hartiberlin it should ask for accept only if registration terms are changing. If the user agree the terms, the data is saved on database.
It brings you to the delete account page. Though, honestly I couldn't test if it actually allows to delete the account. xD
Give people the permission to delete their accounts and you are done.
I could test it, delete my account, you see what happens, then I register again and you could merge my old posts to my new account. Or you register a test user for yourself. ;)
Was an update released by ElkArte to all users or still the new version is in testing?
Not yet, keep an eye on Announcements board
