Comparing the Shark NV360 with normal vacuums

Shark NV360, or Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360 Upright Vacuum, is one of the most popular and most talked-about models of vacuum cleaners. Manufactured by Shark-- an American company with years of experience in producing house appliances-- this model proved as a wonder to some, while others claim there could be rooms for improvement.

If you are a newly owner of this machine and still trying to get to know your device, let’s take a look at how the Shark NV360 perform better or worse than other models on the market.

Benefits over other models

Lift-away

The Shark Lift-Away Deluxe Vacuum has a lift-away feature that allows you to remove the dust canister and carry it with you. This is convenient when you want to reach high areas like ceilings or walls. It also comes in handy when you want to clean more narrow areas like your car interior, where it might be difficult to bring the entire machine inside.

Price

Compared to other models by Shark, this one cost around $150. There are, of course, certain limitations, but this price is quite affordable compared to how well it performs.

Efficient tools

Shark navigator NV360 comes with three convenient tools: the dusting brush, a crevice tool, and an accessory holder.

The dusting brush and crevice tool are for different kinds of cleaning. The dusting brush is wider for cleaning wide areas, whereas the crevice tool for vexing into small, narrow corners like under the table or under the chair.

The accessory holder is aimed to hold these tools neatly on the body of the extension wand. This is a feature positively reviewed to be more efficient in storing these little parts. Since, other vacuums do not have the holder, the tools need to be stored separately. For this reason, you may find yourself heading back and forth to adjust the tool. Worst-case scenario, you don’t even remember where you store them to begin with.

Ease of maintenance

The Shark NV360 have their parts almost entirely detachable. This means that you can remove the parts and clean them separately. With parts easily clogged by dust like the pre-motor filter or the hepa filter, it is of even more importance that you get rid of them to make the most use.

For pre-motor filters, it is recommended that you rinse every three months, although this number vary with each user. For hepa filter, maybe once a year.

Weakness over other models

No headlights

Even just comparing among Shark models themselves, a pretty obvious and major disadvantage of the Shark NV360 is that it has no headlights. Of course, nobody is going to vacuum in a completely dark room, but it might be helpful to see where the little particles of lentils fall on the floor so you can pick them up.

Short power chord

The power chord of the Shark Navigator Lift Away Deluxe Nv360 upright vacuum is only about 25-feet long. Due to this, you may find yourself having to drag the entire machine along as you move and constantly finding an outlet to plug it in. Since the vacuum runs on electricity, you are necessarily tethered to the chord whenever you use it.

Short hose

Same thing with the chord: the fairly medium, if not short, hose doesn’t allow much reach. There is of course the option of lift-away, but if you were to use the machine upright, be prepared that you aren’t going to reach very far.

Above is our summary of some of the key benefits and drawbacks of the Shark NV360. Why don’t you share it with your friends if you find it helpful?
