Ugly "Small Pagelinks"

Hello!

Just a tiny thing...but I always hated those "triangels" before and after things.
Here they are displayed by the small pagelinks, it looks like this:  << 1 2 >>
Where do they come from? I want to kill them and send them to hell. ;)
(Wow...eine witzige Art der Zensierung! Okay...ich will sie nicht in die Hölle, bzw. zu SMF schicken, sondern dahin, wo der Pfeffer wächst)

Would it be possible to change this styling here?

Maybe it would be possible to use icons instead of << and >>
or make a smaller version of the "normal pagelinks" there
or use the styling of the likes_indicator just for the numbers?

You can change them via css:

It should be in index.css, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thank you very much, emanuele, it is in index.css. I can hide it or maybe add a background-image there.

LOL .. I've always disliked them as well!

Most of them we removed some were replaced with font-awesome one, and the rest (well I hope) were moved to the css with pseudo elements :before :after ... you should be able to simply remove those CSS rules or just set that content to an empty string content: ''; in the css.

I am very glad that you have done this... ;)  It looks much "cleaner" without them, they were annoying me all the time.

It is one of the reasons why I like ElkArte this much, everything looks so clear and well-organized.


First I did not see, that those << and >> at this place don't have any function, so it is okay just to hide them, they need not to be replaced with something else.

I added a bit of color here:
