@emanuele did some work to remove them, but I just checked the main and development branches and I see $_POST and $_GET used in Topics.subs.php. I didn't add an issue on GH because I'm not sure if there was some reason.
At the moment I don't remember, I guess there are still some/many around even in the development branch (and some are my fault as usual O:-)).
Yes, I guess it's a blocker for 1.1.
