Hi Kimo and welcome. :)
hmm... 500 is always a tricky error.
The first two options that come to my mind are:
1) a problem with the addon (first because I can check it immediately),
2) mod security.
Regarding 1, I can't see anything wrong with the code (but I cannot install it for testing right now).
In the meantime, you could try to contact your host and see if they have mod security enabled. If this is the case, then they are in the best position to fix the issue.

Are you running 1.1? Hopefully the author will provide a fix. Until then, you can either remove the hooks from the database or delete the addons source files. Thanks to

KIMO is using 1.0, so I guess the bug is valid for both versions. O:-)
Hhmm...could be! Sorry, couldn't tell what version watching from a phone. O:-) Perhaps this will prompt a repair. Doubly good if it's an issue common to both. 1.1 whitescreens immediately on install, if that means anything at all.
Will need to check it out and see what changed between 1.0.x and 1.1.x

The videos protrude over the right edge when I look at the forum pages with my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge). The pages are pushed together to about 80%. This is also the case with the default settings for the width and height of the videos.
How can I change it so that the videos automatically adjust to the width of the forum?
Right now they are based on fixed width for most of the videos unless the built in code supports responsive.

I've disabled embedding in mobile devices now, so that the videos in such now are played with the ElkArte player.
There is a problem with the recognition of just a youtube channel and not posting a youtube video,

It thinks I have posted a link to a youtube video,
but actually it was just the link to a user´s Youtube channel...

I installed the simple video/image addon OK but no new icon or anything shows on the new post page for it. What have I missed please?
To use you just post the video site url into your post. Make sure you checked all the video settings in the admin setting of the mod that you wish to embed.

Haven't try this but merely want to ask whether video in gdrive or gphotos can be embeded as well?
That is not supported at this time. Would need to see example links. And they would need to be public urls to work.
Basically to allow others to access, we set as shared to public and provide its link. It uses youtube api if I am not mistaken. I'll try to set up one video for public and share its link here. May be you can try thereafter.

It just works differently. Pros and cons to both mods. Looks like yours uses curl which be be more intensive on lookups. But I do like seeing curl_multi_getcontent that is very interesting will have to play around with that for some projects.

Both are working, but i remember there was like a window banner with the name of the video site and you could open or close as you wanted : this banner is no more present are it's my memory

That would be in the settings area for the mod. You can check and uncheck which sites you want to embed.
I found an exemple about what i mean :
- banner opened
(Link-8723) - banner closed
(Link-8725) With this new version the banner is not here
That banner is part of the built in ElkArte video embed (which is only for youtube, Vimeo and DM) Lets do a test and see if it still works on 2.0 with all the other changes

When I tick in the settings to get the original link under the video, with a youtube video il don't get the link but the video with the banner, and the video is displayed twice :

I'm not using this add-on, but I guess you can solve that by disabling Enable auto-embedding of video links option in Admin > Forum > Post & Topic
