Create an icon android.png and coy it on the folder you mentioned.
I don't think is a bug, if I remember correctly there is no icon called android.png on a clean install of Elkarte. Maybe you had that on SMF before converting to elkarte.

hmm... yeah, sounds about what radu mentioned. Maybe you had the "mobile icon" stuff. In that case you have to restore the icons.
