Looking at the push notification topics and I wondered: are there any abstraction layers for push notifications? So, one could just include a single class and setup different providers. I did a quick look but didn't see anything. If not, I might make one in a couple of weeks. Then someone can make a mod to bring it to Elkarte without worrying about implementation and vendor lock-in.

I don't know enough about it yet to say how it would work. TBH, I am not even sure if there is a need. I am just wondering if it is already out there.
